Delete your Kodo account
Kodo app — last updated: September 27, 2026
In short: deletion is done from the app, in two taps, and it is immediate. If you no longer have the app, write to us and we will do it for you.
From the app
- Open Kodo and go to the Profile tab.
- In the Account section, tap Delete my account.
- Confirm. It is permanent: there is no trash to recover it from.
Without the app
If you uninstalled it or can no longer sign in, write to contact@kodolearn.com from the account's email address — that is how we check it is really yours. We delete it within 30 days, and in practice much sooner.
What is deleted, and when
| Data | What happens to it |
|---|---|
| Your account (email address, identifier) | Deleted immediately |
| Your online progress: lessons, crowns, XP, streak, gems | Deleted immediately, along with the account |
| Your presence in the weekly leagues | Deleted immediately |
| Your purchase history (product, date, Google Play receipt identifier) | Deleted immediately, along with the account |
| The database's technical backups | Erased by rotation within 30 days |
| Your progress saved on the phone | Stays on the device. This is on purpose: closing your online account and losing your local progress are two different actions. To erase it too: Profile → Start over, or uninstall the app. |
If you have a Kodo Pro subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. It is managed by Google Play, not by us: to stop the payments, open the Play Store → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Kodo → Cancel. Do it before or after deleting the account, but do it.
Erasing your progress without closing your account
If you want to start over but keep your account, you can, and it is a separate action: Profile → Start over, then confirm.
All your progress is erased — completed lessons, crowns, XP, streak, mistakes to review — on the phone as well as in the online copy: the empty state replaces the save stored on our servers at the next sync. Your account stays open: same email address, same identifier. It is irreversible, exactly like deleting the account.
Can it be undone?
No. Deletion is permanent and we keep no copy that would let us restore an account. You can create a new one with the same address, but it will start empty — unless your progress is still on your phone, in which case it will be picked up at the first sync.
